Today you will take a city tour of Phnom Penh. You will visit the Royal Palace, which was built in 1913 and is a beautiful example of typical Khmer architecture. The palace is still in use by the Royal family, but part of it can be visited by the public. The Wat Preah Keo, also known as the Silver Pagoda, is especially impressive. It is so called because the floor consists of more than 5,000 silver tiles. There are also many Buddha statues, including a statue of solid gold, inlaid with more than 2,000 gemstones. Then embark on walking tour, immerse yourself in its rich history and cultural heritage, revealed through splendid Art Deco architecture dating back to the 1920s. Afternoon, you will visit the Tuol Sleng Museum. Located here after the liberation of Phnom Penh in 1979, the Tuol Sleng Museum was a former school taken over by the Khmer Rouge in 1975 for use by Pol Pot's special security service. The building was used as a prison and torture chamber. Many thousands of Cambodian civilians were tortured here.

Today you continue your journey to Siem Reap. Along the way you drive through a flat landscape with many rice fields. You will stop at a local market where insects are traded, which are a delicacy in Cambodia. The specialty of this market is the fried Tarantula spider. We will also stop at a bridge that was built by the Khmer more than 1,000 years ago. The bridge is in good condition and is still in use. Siem Reap is a bustling city located near the legendary temples of Angkor.
Evening, immerse yourself in an evening of enchantment at the heart of downtown Siem Reap with a captivating show at Phare, the Cambodian Circus. Run by the eponymous NGO, this vibrant spectacle supports the aspirations of Khmer youth through artistic and performance training.
