Before anything else, we pray that in 2022 Covid only remains a bad memory and we can lead our lives as well as make fulfilling travels normally. We have had an incredible challenge over the last two years and are now beginning to see the proverbial light at the end of an unending tunnel.

Trinetra Tours is delighted to share that the government of India has removed mandatory quarantine for international travellers arriving into India. Not only that, travelers from most countries do not even need to have a negative PCR test report before boarding a flight to India. A WHO-approved fully vaccinated certificate is good enough to arrive and fall in love with India. We guess that India and her varied intrigues are only a wish away!

Somebody has rightly said that to travel is to explore! Yes, when you choose a path less traveled you discover a world that is both pure as well as authentic, and, where you can enjoy life as it is, without having to match the pace of the otherwise rushed world around you.

The lasting memories of our land are hospitality, kindness, good humor, and generosity. However, what has been very conveniently overlooked is how India is a stimulant for the traveler who likes to travel beyond the usual tourist trail. Hikes through obscure Himalayan villages, cycling, staying in old palaces belonging to the erstwhile Kings and Zamindars (landlords), now converted into Heritage Hotels. These experiences make for truly memorable travels that step beyond the major attractions to not only keep the adrenaline pumping but, also bring your way hitherto unknown aspects of the diverse and throbbing ecosystem of people and nature that is India. So, like a true friend, we have specially curated and researched some lesser-known destinations in India that you need to know about right now:

1.      Discovering the Cultural and Tribal Heritage of Odisha ;

The main focus of our tour would be to show you the tribal culture that is found here. The tribes in Odisha are composed of skillful artisans and farmers. They work hard and find joy in the simplest of the things such as music and dancing. They earn their living through painting, weaving, and designing ornaments.

The highlights of our tour would be as below;

  • These tribal villages are the soul of Odisha and hence, we will travel to many such villages to get a taste of a different world and time.
  • During the tour, we would travel to remote areas to witness the tribal living untouched by modern times. However, it is important to visit these tribes on certain days of the week. This is when they come out of the jungles to the local tribal markets.
  • In addition to the above, we will also visit Daringbadi, known as the Kashmir of Odisha. This coastal state is famous for the sea, sun, and sands - it does not seem really likely that there might be a hill station in this state. However, dotted with thick pine forests, coffee plantations, waterfalls, and twelve degrees at night, Daringbadi can be just as incredible.

2.     Learning About The hidden gems & classics of Eastern India:

The Eastern part of India is home to innumerable venues which are spectacular and full of life. This region gives you a chance to get insights into the vibrant tribes of India, captivating natural wonders, super delicious food, exotic adventures, and much more.

As you sail, you will witness - picturesque villages, bustling towns, old temples, and experience the opulent culture of the region. Our progress would be slower, but we would stress witnessing and appreciating typical lifestyles as well as the virgin beauty and tranquillity of the rich countryside of Bengal.
  • Discovering the majestic beauty of the Himalayas. The towns of Darjeeling and Sikkim are a maze of steps and terraces and studded with exotic little bazaars, lovely villas, forests, and gardens.
  • Experience the capital city of Sikkim, Gangtok which is a mesmerizing hill station with lush greenery, snow-laden highlands, and serene lakes.
  • A short drive from Gangtok will take you to Nathula Pass located at an elevation of 12,400ft and Tsomgo Lake - one of the most visited places in Sikkim.
